What makes you the best CPA or Accounting Firm?

Over the past week, We have had the privilege of gaining two new clients. While many might celebrate new contracts, I find myself feeling both annoyed and disturbed by the way businesses are treated and accounts are handled prior to our firm's involvement.

The first new client came to us with a $10,000 bill from the State Department of Revenue. While it's true that everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect, I was taken aback by the audacity of the previous firm.

They instructed the client to pay the bill without first investigating the issue themselves. How could they not look into the matter or arrange a call between themselves and the client to help alleviate any stress or unnecessary expense?

When we work with our clients, we take their accounts personally. After 17 years in this business, I can say that while mistakes can occur, we strive to address them because we genuinely care about our clients.

Each firm should prioritize more than just monthly contracts or maximizing charges to clients; there should be a significant focus on expectations for compassion, integrity, and responsibility.

When searching for a CPA or accounting firm, make sure to look for these values—because not doing so could end up costing you.
